A Colorado woman angered by a painting depicting Jesus receiving oral sex from another man was arrested Wednesday when she took a crowbar to the piece of art and shredded the lithograph, according to Denver's NBC affiliate.
"How can you desecrate my lord?" Kathleen Folden reportedly screamed as used a crowbar to break the glass case around the art, called The Misadventures of Romantic Cannibals. The painting was on display at the Loveland Museum/Gallery.
Folden, a truck driver from Montana, then allegedly shredded the painting before police took her into custody. She faces a $1,000 to $2,000 fine.
"I've never had this kind of violent reaction to my art," artist Enrique Chagoya said upon hearing the news. "Violence doesn't resolve anything."
