A man, married to a woman, was allegedly threatened with exposure of photos that showed him having sex with another man, according to an FBI affidavit.
While on a business trip in Washington, D.C., the affidavit says, a Michigan man was asked to cough up $25,000 during a phone call he received from Shawn Lightfoot (pictured), who claimed he had recent photos of the man having sex with another male. According to The Washington Post, the Michigan businessman claimed to not remember a gay encounter but had one day woken up woozy, missing a $20,000 Rolex watch, a credit card, and $200 cash.
After returning home, the businessman alerted FBI officials, who listened in on his phone calls with Lightfoot. Lightfoot, who has a previous extortion conviction, was arrested June 2 at his home in Alexandria, Va., and will appear in court June 17.
