Beverly McClellan, the lesbian singer who made it to the finals of the popular NBC competition The Voice, is redefining beauty standards and blurring gender norms as she pursues her entertainment career.
The bald rocker, who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been in tune with her sexuality for a long time, according to TV Line. "I've never ever ever not lived out loud, and I've known my sexuality since a young age -- kindergarten, really," McClellan said in a recent interview.
Asked what she has planned next, she responded, "Everything. America needs to watch out, 'cause they're not even ready for what's coming to them."
McClellan was one of a handful of openly gay contestants on the debut season of The Voice.
