Plaintiffs in the federal challenge to California's Proposition 8 go before the U.S. Court of Appeals today to present oral arguments on the release of videotapes of the Prop. 8 trial and to defend the ruling of Judge Vaughn Walker -- Prop. 8 proponents wants Walker's ruling against the proposition tossed because he's gay.
The American Foundation for Equal Rights, which has bankrolled the Prop. 8 challenge, says in a release that today's hearing "will likely be the final hearing before the Ninth Circuit issues a ruling on the U.S. District Court's August 2010 decision that struck down Proposition 8."
