Shane Bitney Crone is engaged -- thanks to a little help from Demi Lovato.

The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer helped the Bridegroom subject stage a surprise proposal to his boyfriend, American Idol finalist Rayvon Owen.

At one point during her Tell Me You Love Me concert Friday in Los Angeles, one of Lovato's dancers pulled Owen, an audience member, onstage. Then, Crone opened a trap door and got on one knee in front of the unsuspecting Owen.

"I thought I could never love again, and then I completely fell in love with everything about you. You inspire me every day with your passion, your patience, your talents and generous heart," Crone said in front of the cheering crowd at the Forum. Owen said yes.

The surprise proposal was the idea of Lovato, a friend of Crone's, reports Billboard Pride. The singer's song "Skyscraper" appeared in Crone's 2013 documentary, which chronicled his six-year relationship with his late partner, Tom Bridegroom, as well as the rejection he faced from Bridegroom's family after his death. Afterward, Crone appeared in several of Lovato's music videos, including "Sorry Not Sorry."

Lovato, appearing emotional onstage, addressed the audience before serenading the pair with "Yes" from her album Confident.

"I've gotten to watch Shane go through so much and come out on the other side -- such a strong person who's now found the love of his life," Lovato said.

Owen came out in 2016 with the help of Crone, who persuaded the singer that he and not a woman should play his love interest in his music video, "Can't Fight It."

Last December, Crone posted on Instagram to commemorate his two-year anniversary with Owen. "You opened up a part of me that I thought would forever be closed and changed my life in the most beautiful ways. I love you," he wrote.
