55 Photos of Madrid's Undressed Male Models by Joan Crisol

Joan Crisol knows that it takes more than a beautiful body and face to create a memorable photograph. Crisol plays with the precariousness of physical balance as well as the tension of opposites -- light and dark, black and white, shy and explicit. His eye finds the tension in a situation and teases it out.

Born in 1974, Crisol received his degree in photography from Spain's Institut D' Estudis Fotografics de Catalunya (Photography School of Catalonia). Soon after graduation, Crisol began his career as a professional photographer. His work has been featured in various publications in Germany, Switzerland, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, and Spain. Check out some of his work at the Bruno Gmuender website.

In addition to his still photography, Crisol has served as the director of photography for more than 50 music videos. He currently resides in Madrid.
