15 Photos Celebrating the Mothers of Gay Men

The organization Gay Sons and Mothers showcases the impact of mothers who support their queer sons. On social media, the group features images of gay men and their mothers behind them, highlighting the importance these women have in their sons' lives. The group formed after it recognized that nobody had researched the power of the bond between queer sons and their mothers. Psychotherapist Rick Miller set out to do so and founded Gay Sons and Mothers in 2018.

"After being blamed for making their sons gay in the 70's, moms now get the recognition they deserve for raising beautiful sons," Miller says.
