Ronan Farrow has taken down another #MeToo predator: Mr. Frumpus, a fictional orange puppet on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
The out journalist, whose real-life reporting for The New Yorker has helped expose alleged predators like Harvey Weinstein, made a guest appearance on the series finale of the Netflix show.
In the episode, titled "Kimmy Is in a Love Square," Farrow, playing a version of himself, convinces the character of Titus (Tituss Burgess) to come forward with his experience of sexual harassment during an audition for a role on Sesame Street.
The journalist also compliments Titus on his good looks. "Oh, my God, you are beautiful! Puppets must be constantly hitting on you!" Farrow exclaims on the show.
In a tweet Friday, which was when the final episodes were released on the streaming platform, Farrow explained his reasons for appearing on the Tina Fey-created comedy.
RAINN, the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, is the largest nonprofit in the United States to support victims of sexual assault. Its services include the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline, which can be reached at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or RAINN.org.
The War on Peace author added that it was a "delight" to work with actors Burgess and Mike Carlsen as well his joke-writer Martin Whitaker. He encouraged his followers to watch the final season of Kimmy Schmidt -- a comedy about a woman who escaped 15 years of forced captivity and sexual assault at the hands of an older preacher -- because it is "v. good."
