Sarah Palin Gay-Baiting?

SARAH PALIN MICHAEL JOSEPH GROSS X390

Is Sarah Palin using code words to slam gay journalist Michael Joseph Gross, a frequent Advocate contributor who wrote the much-buzzed-about profile of the former vice presidential nominee in this month’s Vanity Fair?

Palin didn’t mention Gross by name while talking Thursday on Sean Hannity’s WABC radio show, but she seemed to be referring to the article — and pointedly used emasculating words that have long been used as euphemisms for homosexuality — when she called reporters who publish “rumors” about her “impotent,” “limp,” and “gutless.”

“I don't read some of it because I know that those who are impotent and limp and gutless, and then they go on, they're anonymous, they're sources that are anonymous, and impotent, limp, and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references,” Palin said.

“You know, it just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact. So when a story especially is filled with those and we know it's bogus, and we're not going to read it.”

Gross defended the article on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Thursday, saying most of his sources would only speak with him anonymously because they’re “terrified of retribution.”

“There is a string of people going all the way back in her life, all the way back in her career, who have been so abused so horrifically by her, and they’re just terrified of retribution,” Gross said. “They’ve seen her take revenge on people before, and they’re so broken, they’re so stepped on, they’re so beaten down, they don’t want to take the risk of speaking out.”

When did calling journalists " .. “impotent,” “limp,” and “gutless.” .. " mean you're calling them gay? This is a laughable stretch by the author of this Advocate article! Come on now folks, this Gross is just Grosstesque, And How! Best line PR heard to describe this goof was "weasel", which whether in the gay or straight version is still just a disgustingly sneaky lying slimeball!

This is just too fucking much. When the majority of posts on the Advocate are from ditto head, lying, bastard GOP hypocritical motherfuckers with tiny dicks and even tinier intellects, it's time to stop reading the Advocate. Maybe what the Advocate needs is to make us register before being able to post. Let posters know that their IP addresses are being recorded and that repeated violations will resort in being permanently banned. We all need to write in to the Advocate and complain about this. And no - I'm not trying to stifle free speech. Free speech is one thing, letting them drown out our voices is quite another.

I know Ms. Palin. The things in the Vanity Fair article just isn't true. There is nothing about that article that resembles her or her marriage or anything at all. I am just so sad that this is even happening. But , because I do know her, she will forgive this Mr. Gross and move on. That is the heart and the woman I see and know.

Charles (Oakland), Obama doesn't believe in gay marriage either. He has said so. Palin hasn't said anything different than what Obama has said. So where are the criticisms of him? I just don't get it. I am a Democrat and I am able to say this because it is true. I don't have Palin derangement syndrome to a point where I can't see the truth. I am embarrased by the stupid and idiotic things coming from our side. It so discredits us.

@David S. in Philadelphia "Do you know that she vetoed a bill that would have denied benefits to gays?" Yes she did veto such a bill, but you don't seem to know the reason she did. She vetoed it because it was an illegal bill that would have opened the state to lawsuits. She herself has said she would have signed such a bill were it not for that reason because it reflected her views that gays should not have such rights.

JeffreyF you are an idiot. As most gay men, all you see is superficial crap and nothing inside of a person. Gross is "hot" therefore he gets a pass to do anything he wants. Don't trust your instincts about people cuz they suck.

JeffreyF, the reason "others don't see it" is because it doesn't exist. She is none of those things you feel in your gut. And you felt wonderful ranbows and lollipops inside of you when you saw Obama? As you can see, you shouldn't trust your gut instincts..they are bad.

Uh, the article is asking if Palin is gay baiting, not that she actually is. I'm thinking the article is trying to get people to think about what she may be implying. BTW the man that moved in next to Palin, Joe McGinnis, who is writing a book of his own, says the same things about Palin that Michael Gross says. And I think the more that is written about her the more the truth will come out. I can't believe some of you people actually are defending Palin after the hate she brings to gay people.
