The premiere party for the new season of RuPaul's Drag Race, which kicks off today on Logo, took over West Hollywood's Abbey bar last week. While Ru himself showed up in a suit and glasses, the other girls were dressed in drag couture in what seemed like a race down the red carpet.

With everything from a chicken doubling as a purse to a dress that looked like it was found at a Lisa Frank yard sale, the girls had a lot to say about what they described as "the fishiest season yet" of Drag Race. Check them out on the following pages.

"A unicorn birthed me prior to this. I love Lisa Frank, but I also love Mortal Kombat and S&M stuff. Kick ass and rainbows!"

"I'm the first Northwest queen to ever go on Drag Race. The drag scene there is very performance art heavy and theatrical. I represent the Northwest's unique flavor. I'm extremely theatrical. I'm always playing a kooky character of some sort."

"I've been doing drag for 20 years. When I was a kid drag was different, we only had Divine, and she wasnt lookin' to be a pioneer, she was just lookin' to get paid."

-Penny Tration

"It is so exciting to be around such courageous people, making their own dreams come true. This season is going to be very excited and charged with energy."

-RuPaul

"Tim Burton is a major inspiration. My favorite film of his is Mars Attacks. I love the martian lady with the eyeball ring. I found an eyeball ring the other day, I think I'm gonna wear it... It's not a real eyeball though, don't worry."

-Ivy Winters

"This is my chicken purse, you can put anything you want in there. I'm gonna start selling these, I think, even though I didn't make the chicken, it's not even a real chicken. You can choke it if you want.."
