Tonight's episode of The Mindy Project on Fox will feature no shortage of special guests, but one particularly stunning star caught our eye -- the inimitable Laverne Cox as clinic nurse Tamra's (Xosha Roquemore) cousin Sheena.

Naturally, cousin Sheena is in town to kick-start Mindy's (Mindy Kaling) "beautification process," as the titular -- and newly pregnant -- character is struggling with strangers on the street calling her "sir" and "big guy."

Jokes about Mindy's weight are commonplace on the show, which Kaling created and stars in, and this episode is far from the first time the character has bemoaned being misgendered. But there is some kind of poetic justice to the fact that it's cousin Sheena -- played by an out trans woman -- who will prove to be the key ingredient to Mindy's femme makeover.

"You better be careful," warns Cox as Cousin Sheena. "Babies are shady. They'll steal your youth and keep it for their own damn self."

Watch an exclusive clip from tonight's episode, "What to Expect When You're Expanding," below, and catch The Mindy Project Tuesdays on Fox at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
