On tonight's launch of Nat Geo's new series The Story of Us With Morgan Freeman, Freeman meets with Victoria Khan, a transgender woman from Afghanistan who tells him about her experience finally feeling "free" in her body. Khan faced numerous horrors during her childhood in war-torn Afghanistan. When she was finally given the opportunity to flee, she became worried she'd be separated from her sister, so she put on a burka -- and in presenting as a woman for the first time, she finally felt comfortable in her gender identity.
The show airs tonight at 9/8 Central on Nat Geo. You can also view the episode here.
