Lucy Liu and Jersey Films are in negotiations to produce a drag comedy at Universal Pictures. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the studio has paid $1 million against $2 million (if the film goes into production) for an untitled action-comedy pitch by Les Firestein and P.J. Pesce. The pitch revolves around a male fugitive who dresses in drag to elude a group of thugs, only to wind up being mistaken for a mail-order bride. Liu will not star in the film, although she may play a smaller role.
