 Variety reports that out TV mogul Darren Star (Sex and the City) will coproduce a remake of the 1968 cult Peter Sellers comedy The Party for MGM and DreamWorks. Jay Roach (the Austin Powers series) will direct for producers Star, Priscilla Presley, Walter Parkes, and Laurie McDonald. The original film deals with a clumsy Indian actor who destroys a swanky Hollywood party.
