Impac Award bestows $126,000 for The Master.
BBC News reports that out Irish author Colm Toibin was presented with the prestigious Impac award for his novel The Master, which centers around four years in the life of author Henry James. All works written in or translated into English are eligible for the award, which comes with a $126,000 cash prize. Toibin, whose earlier works include The Blackwater Lightship, is currently working at California's Stanford University as the Stein Visiting Writer. (The Advocate)
