BBC News reports that out Irish author Colm Toibin was presented with the prestigious Impac award for his novel The Master , which centers around four years in the life of author Henry James. All works written in or translated into English are eligible for the award, which comes with a $126,000 cash prize. Toibin, whose earlier works include The Blackwater Lightship, is currently working at California's Stanford University as the Stein Visiting Writer. (The Advocate)
