Red Without Blue, a documentary about a set of gay twins whose lives change when one decides to undergo a sex change, took the top audience prize in its category at Slamdance. The $2,000 prize went to writer-directors Brooke Sebold, Benita Sills, and Todd Sills.

More than $125,000 in cash and prizes were doled out to 16 winners for the 13-year-old film festival Slamdance, which was held in Park City, Utah. Since the festival has ended, at least two films have been sold: The King of Kong to New Line Cinema and Over the GW to Seventh Art Releasing. Festival coordinators expect more deals to be made in the coming weeks.

Slamdanced emerged as an alternative to the behemoth Sundance Film Festival as fledgling filmmakers were unable to get their films into the lineup.

A portion of the proceeds from Slamdance ticket sales were donated to the Utah Food Bank.
