Model-Actress Joins Dante’s Cove Cast

Out actress and model Jenny Shimizu will join the cast of Here Networks' gothic soap opera Dante's Cove , according to Meredith Kadlec, vice president of original programming for Here.

"As a visible out woman, Jenny has long been an inspiring presence in the LGBT community," Kadlec said. "We are truly excited she is joining the cast, and we hope her on-screen romance with fellow out actress Michelle Wolff will deliver a lesbian fantasy come true."

The show revolves around a group of mostly gay and lesbian characters who live together at the Hotel Dante in a quiet beach town.

Shimizu has done a vast amount of modeling for Versace, Gaultier, Anna Sui, and Calvin Klein. Most recently, she appeared in the 2007 film Itty Bitty Titty Committee and was named by Power Up as one of the 10 Most Amazing Women in Show Business in 2006. (The Advocate)
