IKEA took the top honor at the Commercial Closet Association awards, celebrating the best gay-friendly ad campaigns in mainstream print, broadcast, and Internet media. The winning spot was IKEA's "Living Room" ad with a gay couple resting on the floor with their daughter and dog. The narrator asks, "Why shouldn't sofas come in flavors, just like families?"

Other winners include Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Subaru, and Nokia. The Clean-Up-Your-Act Notice went to DaimlerChrysler Group for their Dodge Caliber commercial in which a muscular man taunts a female fairy with the words, "Heh, heh, silly little fairy." In response she turns him into a pastel sweater-dressed man walking four Pomeranians on pink leashes, after which he reacts with a squeal. The narrator then says the new Dodge Caliber is "anything but cute." (The Advocate)
