Samantha Ronson,
reportedly the girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, declined to
play a DJ gig at a New York City lesbian bar. When she was
asked this summer to do a benefit for the longtime
West Village fixture Rubyfruit, her agent said that
"she doesn't do those kind of venues," the New York
Post's Page Six column reports.
According to
Rubyfruit's resident DJ Stacy Ledwith, the bar approached
Ronson, a well-known bicoastal DJ, to play at a benefit, but
was told that she wasn't interested. "At first, her
agent said it was $8,000 for the night plus airfare
and hotel," Ledwith told Page Six. "Then, he was
informed it was a gay and lesbian bar, we were told she
doesn't do those kind of venues. She doesn't do gay and
lesbian bars and clubs."
A spokesperson
for Ronson, however, denied she was offered a gig in the
first place. "It is not true," Ronson rep Brandon Phelps
told Page Six. "I can tell you that I am the only one
that runs her calendar and was never approached by
Rubyfruit."
Ronson, the
step-daughter of Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones, and
Lohan have been in a romantic relationship for months,
according to numerous press reports, though the two
have not confirmed that they're dating. (The
