Both Nicholas Galitzine & Taylor Zakhar-Perez are returning for Red, White & Royal Blue 2.

It's official: Red, White & Royal Blue 2 is actually happening!!!

During a panel with the main cast and crew of the first film, director Matthew López confirmed that a sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue is officially in the works. "Yes, there's gonna be a sequel," López announced when asked about the possibility of a second installment.

"There's going to be a sequel to the film," book author Casey McQuiston added. "Matthew and I are writing it together. And that's all we can say!"

Lead actors Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Henry) and Taylor Zakhar-Perez (Alex) are reportedly set to return for the sequel, and the official Instagram account for the movie has already even dropped an official teaser poster.

In November 2023, McQuiston attended the 2023 Out100 event in Los Angeles as an honoree and told Out that a sequel was possible. "Of course I would love to," McQuiston said. "I don't think I'm allowed to say I'm allowed to say anything more than that at this point."

Galitzine and Zakhar-Perez had just reunited with the cast and crew of Red, White & Royal Blue earlier this week for an FYC (For Your Consideration) event, as the film is being considered for an Emmy Award.

This new and exciting update follows those social media posts of the lead actors reuniting, and we're just dying to know how long they've known — and have been hiding — this exciting update of a confirmed sequel.

We're so excited!!!

Red, White & Royal Blue is available for streaming on Prime Video.
