Jodie Foster is a first-time Emmy winner!

The legendary actor won her first ever Emmy for her role as Detective Liz Danvers in the crime drama True Detective: Night Country.

She was also nominated as a producer for the show. Her co-star, Kali Ries, was also nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Foster beat out Brie Larson from Lessons in Chemistry, Juno Temple for Fargo, Sofia Vergara for Griselda, and Naomi Watts for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.

Foster has previously won two Academy Awards on five nominations, won three Golden Globes, and has been nominated for two Primetime Emmys, one for directing Orange in the New Black, and one for producing the made for television movie The Baby Dance.
