MAC Cosmetics announces stars for AIDS campaign

MAC Cosmetics on Friday announced the stars for its 10th annual fund-raiser for the MAC AIDS Fund, which supports groups working with HIV-positive people, USA Today reports. The stars of this year's campaign will include Christina Aguilera, Chloe Sevigny, Boy George, Missy Elliott, and Linda Evangelista. The campaign raises money for AIDS groups through sales of MAC's Viva Glam lipsticks and lip gloss. Print ads featuring the celebrities are scheduled to begin appearing in major publications this week. The annual campaign has raised more than $32 million over the past 10 years. Boy George told USA Today he welcomes an opportunity to support the MAC AIDS Fund. "I've been wearing makeup since I was 14 years old. I feel it was about time I was rewarded," he said, adding, "AIDS has affected the fashion industry probably more than any other industry."
