Saved! among many films of queer interest debuting on DVD October 5
The satirical comedy Saved! from out cowriter-director Brian Dannelly makes its home video debut on Tuesday, October 5, from MGM Home Entertainment. The DVD includes deleted and extended scenes, bloopers, a making-of documentary, two commentaries (one featuring Dannelly with cowriter Michael Urban and producer Sandy Stern, the other featuring stars Jena Malone and Mandy Moore), a trailer, and a hidden "Easter egg" featuring executive producer Michael Stipe. Also premiering on DVD October 5 is the gay-inclusive Canadian drama The Decline of the American Empire (Koch Lorber Films), the precursor to the recent hit The Barbarian Invasions; the four-volume comedy compilation Funny Ladies (Koch Vision), featuring Rosie O'Donnell, Margaret Cho, and Ellen DeGeneres; Reality Unleashed (Razor Digital Entertainment), a look at the stars of reality TV, including openly gay Survivor champion Richard Hatch; and Michael Moore's acclaimed and controversial documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 (Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment).
