Massachusetts releases guide to living with HIV
The Massachusetts health department has released a new guide that is designed to help HIV-positive people obtain top-quality care, The Boston Globe reports. The free 28-page guide, titled "Now That You Know: A Guide to Living With HIV," includes information on how to find an HIV specialist and other caregivers and how to access other supportive services. The guide is available in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese by calling (800) 952-6637 or going online to www.maclearinghouse.com. Health officials say about 1,000 Massachusetts residents are diagnosed with HIV infection every year.
