New DVDs include restored edition of Gregg Araki's Totally F***ed Up
A "Director's Vision Edition" of Gregg Araki's Totally F***ed Up premieres Tuesday, June 28, from Strand Releasing Home Video. This gritty look at the lives of gay and lesbian teens in the '90s features a new digital transfer and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound stereo remix supervised by the editor, along with commentaries, trailers, original poster art and press kit, and never-before-seen still photos from the set. Also premiering on June 28 is the Morocco-set coming-of-age drama Beach Cafe (Picture This! Home Video), with a screenplay cowritten by out French director Andre Techine based on a short story by Paul Bowles.
