Police in San
Jose, Calif., continue to search for clues into a Christmas
Eve hate crime that has angered gay rights activists, the
San Francisco Chronicle reported on Tuesday.
Someone used gasoline to burn the word "fag" onto the
lawn of a resident's house and vandalized their car,
police said.
"This is an act
that's intended to intimidate, cause fear, and not
just in the primary victim of the act, but in the entire
community," Clark Williams of the Billy DeFrank
Center told reporters. San Jose police are
urging anyone with information to contact the department.
