Organizers of the forthcoming National Equality Rally in Philadelphia launched a video on YouTube Wednesday promoting the event.

Set to the music of Five for Fighting's "What Kind of World Do You Want?" the video kicks off with an image of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech before segueing into images of gay rights rallies, marches, and historic moments.

The National Equality Rally will take place May 3 at Philadelphia's Independence Hall -- the same site where gay rights pioneers launched the LGBT civil rights movement with rallies every 4th of July from 1965 through 1969.

The rally is a call on Congress and President Barack Obama to:

aEURC/ Pass a trans-inclusive hate-crimes bill and Employment Non-Discrimination Act

aEURC/ Repeal "don't ask, don't tell" and the Defense of Marriage Act

aEURC/ Support GLBT health issues

aEURC/ Provide equal benefits for same-sex couples and their families

aEURC/ Advance federal marriage equality
