Expert: U.S. Will Collapse in '10

A Russian foreign policy expert has declared that the United States will fall apart in 2010 in part because the country is filled with gay men.

Igor Panarin predicts that the country will collapse next year, divide into six territorial states by 2011, and that Barack Obama will install martial law shortly thereafter.

The number of gay men in America is sixth on his list of reasons the United States is headed for collapse. Panarin also says failing financial markets, the recession, and the Citigroup bailout are likely contributing factors.

After Panarin issued his "findings," U.S. News and World Report columnist James Pethokoukis countered with a list of his own, saying Russia is heading for collapse because of its shrinking population and unstable democracy, among other things.
