The Republican presidential debate targets trans people
🗳️ What to know: The second Republican presidential debate of 2023 was rife with anti-transgender sentiment, Trudy Ring reports. Candidates called transgender people mentally ill and vowed to ban gender-affirming health care.

🍸 Now this is cute: Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi made a surprise appearance at a Washington gay bar that has become a popular hotspot for locals and visitors alike in the short time since it’s been open.
