James Franco's nudity-laden film adaptation of the gay poem The Feast of Stephen won a Teddy Award at last week's Berlin Film Festival. Franco, who attends New York University's film school and is a favorite of gay viewers for his performances in biopics James Dean, Milk, and the upcoming Howl, directed the silent black-and-white short based on the lyrical poem by Anthony Hecht, about a young man fantasizing while watching a pickup game of basketball, as a student project.
