Clay Aiken was among the North Carolinians who joined the Human Rights Campaign's push against "don't ask, don't tell" by sending a postcard to Congress demanding repeal of the antigay policy.

This picture, taken Saturday night in Raleigh, was posted Tuesday morning as the photo of the day on the blog HRC Back Story. Aiken, who was a featured speaker at HRC Carolinas Gala that evening, is photographed with HRC's Jeremy Kennedy.

As Kennedy wrote on the blog: "The postcards are only one way you can let your voice be heard [on DADT]. HRC has unveiled a new website where you can go to sign the online petition and spread the word to your friends.

"You can also join in our Virtual Lobby Day taking place Thursday. While hundreds of HRC volunteers will be on Capitol Hill ... meeting with their elected leaders, help us flood their inboxes and phone lines with pro-LGBT messages from back home in their home districts."
