Actor Zachary Quinto will portray Louis Ironson in the off-Broadway revival of Tony Kushner's Angels in America, reports The New York Times. The epic play about the AIDS crisis in the mid 1980s is presented in two parts, Millennium Approaches and Perestroika. Angels was first performed in Los Angeles in 1990 before moving to Broadway in 1993, where it won the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize for best play.
Quinto starred in the recently canceled NBC series Heroes, played Mr. Spock in the 2009 film adaptation of Star Trek, and played Tori Spelling's gay best friend in the series So NoTORIous. The two parts of Angels will run in repertory from September 14 through December 19 at the Signature Theater in New York.
