New York City has paid $300,000 to settle a sexual harassment claim against a gay police lieutenant who grabbed his crotch in front two male sergeants and blamed the gesture on jock itch.

According to the New York Daily News, "Sgt. Dominic Coppola will receive $175,000 and Sgt. Sean Gallagher $125,000 in the agreement hammered out Monday in Manhattan Federal Court, according to their lawyer, Eric Sanders."

A dermatologist at the trial testified that Crowe had received long-term treatment for jock itch. The lieutenant retired in 2008 after a department trial found him guilty of rubbing his crotch, simulating masturbation and wiggling his tongue at the sergeants, according to the Daily News.
