Malin Akerman, known for roles in films such as Watchmen and The Heartbreak Kid, will replace troubled star Lindsay Lohan in Inferno, the biopic about porn actress Linda Lovelace.

E! reports that Inferno director Matthew Wilder plans to shoot in the first quarter of 2011 after his team negotiates the legalities of bringing Akerman on board. Her credits also include 27 Dresses and Couples Retreat.

Filming had been delayed because of Lohan's struggles with arrest and rehab.
