White House staff members have followed the example of their boss, President Obama, in recording a video for the It Gets Better Project.
Brian Bond, deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, introduces several other gay and lesbian staffers, all recalling the difficulties they faced as young people but noting that they have become accepted and successful -- and telling gay youths who are going through the same difficulties that life will get better.
"I couldn't have imagined that I would be supported by my family, my friends, my community, and even the president of the United States," says Kei Koizumi (pictured) of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
The video also features clips of President Obama. Watch it here.
