Kathy Griffin is no longer on the "D-List." After six seasons, the comedian announced she is ending her Bravo reality show so she can spread her wings and show she's "a little different than Kate Gosselin."
"It was a really tough decision because I think of the D-List as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons and I also think it was really time to stop doing it," Griffin told People magazine. "Reality is great, but I really didn't set out to be a reality star. So now it's time to spread my wings and show that I'm a little different than Kate Gosselin.
"I'm not saying better, but maybe separate myself from the pack a little bit."
Griffin isn't leaving Bravo, however. The network has contracted her for four comedy specials to air quarterly in 2011.
Over her six seasons on the air, Griffin frequently used My Life on the D-List to shine a light on inequalities facing gay people, including an episode which showed her pounding the pavement and going door to door campaigning for gay rights.
Griffin also spoke often on the show in support of repealing "don't ask, don't tell."
