Lady Gaga knows who she wants to play her in a film about her life -- Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei.
In her Tuesday night concert at Madison Square Garden, which was being taped for HBO, Gaga gave a shout-out to two women in the audience she said had inspired her: Liza Minnelli and Marisa Tomei.
Gaga said in an interview after the concert that she would want Tomei, above anyone else, to play her in a movie. At 46, Tomei is 21 years older than the singer.
"Oh, you know what, I would have Marisa Tomei play me," Gaga said in a Sirius XM interview with The Morning Mash Up. "I am such a Marisa Tomei fan. All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry. Because my New York accent just flies out of my body, and I start smacking my gum."
Gaga said she also likes the idea of being played by Rosario Dawson.
During the concert, Gaga made it a point to say she doesn't lip-synch, adding, "I'm not going to waste your time watching some bitch lip-synch her way to an HBO special, especially not with Liza watching."
