Last night's season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm introduced viewers to the 7-year-old son of Larry David's girlfriend, who he determined was "pre-gay" -- he gave the boy a sewing machine for his birthday.
In the episode the curmudgeonly David has a vivid conversation with the precocious son of his girlfriend (Ana Gasteyer) who reveals a devotion to Project Runway. David takes to the child right away, gifting him with a sewing machine, which thrills the boy. However, David's gift offends the other adults, including Susie Essman's outspoken character, who say he's too young to be sexually attracted to anyone.
Besides touching on the usually taboo subject of "pre-gay" children, it's been an exceptionally LGBT-friendly season for the HBO hit series. Cheyenne Jackson made a guest appearance as David's fitness trainer and Rosie O"Donnell vied with David for a bisexual love interest.
Watch a clip from the "pre-gay" episode with David and Essman below.
