The It Gets Better Project keeps growing, with videos recently added by such diverse groups as Georgia Institute of Technology, the Wabanaki Two-Spirit Alliance, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and several individuals.

The project was created by Dan Savage and Terry Miller to send a message to LGBT youths who might be facing bullying and other discrimination that life does get better and they can realize their ambitions.

Trudy Ring is The Advocate’s senior politics editor and copy chief. She has been a reporter and editor for daily newspapers and LGBTQ+ weeklies/monthlies, trade magazines, and reference books.
