Guillermo Cortez Cruz, who works in Mexico as Memo Hojas, tells us:

"I am Guillermo Cortez Cruz, I was born in Mexico City in 1995. I am currently 23 years old, I have called myself "Memo Hojas". Study Design and Visual Communication, in the Faculty of Arts and Design, UNAM. I constantly destroy and build in search of an identity. On the way I learn from me, I learn from others.

"I photograph because for me the image is a tool for channeling emotions, feelings, my own experiences, and those of others that I can capture. It is a personal therapy but also a collective one, carried out in conjunction with sexodiversas people who, by allowing me to portray them, open up the possibility of capturing their essence and feeling from their body.

"I am very interested in being able to document and work in a more constructed way about mental health, giving voice to those who need to speak. And also on certain themes of sexuality that have been subject taboo throughout history and are censored today."
