You can feel the joy and love in Brittlebank Park in Charleston, S.C., by looking at the beautiful faces of the people who came to celebrate. Read more below.
Charleston showed its spirit by rallying to put on a great Pride celebration, when only a week earlier many of the streets were still flooded by recent storms. Two weeks ago, people living on and around Charleston's South Battery Street donned old clothes and began cleaning up the mess surrounding their homes after Irma's storm surge had subsided, according to South Carolina newspaper The State.
