Shondaland has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president of the United States.

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes and her triumvirate of stars -- Kerry Washington (Scandal), Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy), and Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder) -- appeared in an ad Thursday evening on ABC in support of the Democratic candidate.

Directed by Scandal's Tony Goldwyn, the ad shows each actress comparing her character -- a "brilliant, complex, overqualified, get-it-done woman who obsessively fights for justice" -- to the former secretary of State, who as a female front-runner is making history in her run for the White House.

"Our characters are on television, but the real world has Hillary Clinton," they continued. "A bona-fide, rolls-up-her-sleeves, fights-for-what's-right, in-it-for-you, won't-back-down champion for all of us."

"I'm with Hillary," they conclude.

Following the ad's release, Rhimes, Washington, and Davis took to Twitter to reiterate their support. In response, Clinton replied with her admiration.

"Talk about a power lineup. Thank you for being on this team! " Clinton tweeted, ending the message in "-H" to show the was message from her and not her campaign.
