A transgender woman who made news in April when a video of her being assaulted at a Maryland McDonald's went viral has been charged with disorderly conduct in an unrelated incident.

Chrissy Polis, 23, faces a charge of disorderly conduct after a heated exchange with a Baltimore County police officer.

According to a story in The Baltimore Sun, Polis called authorities December 3 to report that her purse, cell phone, and $800 had been stolen in a robbery. She said she had been assaulted by a man wearing a black and white hoodie as she walked near her apartment in Essex.

The responding officer said Polis told differing versions of the story and "became very agitated."

Charging documents quote the officer as saying that Polis shouted obscenities and "was causing a major disturbance in the neighborhood and would not lower [her] voice even though I was continually advising [her] to do so. ... [She] continued to scream, 'You don't know who I am. I will have you fired.'"

Polis, who was arrested and then released on $7,500 bail, is scheduled to go on trial in February.
