Ladies Home Journal, the 127-year-old magazine that started as a one-page supplement called Women at Home, might not be the first place you'd expect to find an six-page article on the rash of suicides prompted by antigay bullying.

But the magazine is receiving tons of praise for the feature, "Gay Teens Bullied to the Point of Death."

The first graph puts it plainly. Billy Lucas, Seth Walsh, Tyler Clementi, and Asher Brown were four teens who didn't know each other, "but they did have something in common. They'd been bullied at school, and one by one, they all apparently came to the same conclusion: If you're gay or thought to be gay, life just isn't worth living."

Written with input from the Family Acceptance Project -- a research, education and policy initiative for families with LGBT children -- the article focuses on the power of parents in preventing bullying and teaching acceptance.

The magazine made headlines earlier this year when it became the unlikely forum for Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels to announce that she's bisexual.
