The 24th annual Lambda Literary Award Winners, with winners in 24 different categories, were announced Monday and usher in a host of new names.

In author Rahul Mehta's acceptance speech for his debut collection of short fiction, Quarantine, Mehta remembered learning about Armistead Maupin's work at an important crossroads in his life.
