London police
have determined that George Michael didn't flee the scene
of a recent car accident, reports BBC News. While attempting
to pull out of a parking space on a steep hill,
Michael's car hit three other vehicles, but Michael
dismissed as "rubbish" reports that he'd abandoned the
scene without notifying owners. Speaking to TV interviewer
Michael Parkinson about the Easter Sunday incident, Michael
acknowledged that he is a "terrible driver," but
added, "I did what I was supposed to do." Metropolitan
Police released a statement noting, "The traffic file
has now been looked at, and no further action will be
taken."
The April
automotive mishap followed Michael's February arrest for
possession of cannabis after police found him slumped over
behind the wheel of a parked car in Hyde Park. The
singer recently announced a European tour that will
kick off in Spain on September 27. (The Advocate)
