Sister Spit
launches spring tour

Sister Spit, the national all-female performance tour, is slated to hit the road again in April beginning in Seattle. Performances at bookstores, universities, and eateries start April 5 and stretch through May.

Author Michelle Tea cofounded Sister Spit in 1994, first as a weekly open mic event in San Francisco and later as Sister Spit's Ramblin' Roadshow.

Lambda Award-winning poet Ali Liebegott will read from her recently published novel, The IHOP Papers. Lesbian poet and writer Eileen Myles, who joined the initial 1997 tour, will read her new poetry from Sorry, Tree.

Tea also randomly selected the contributors to her new anthology, Baby, Remember My Name: New Queer Girl Writing, to join the show. (The Advocate)
