WATCH: Meow Mix Playfully Paws at Oscars with Adorable Spoof

As we get set to pounce on the impending awards season, Meow Mix has produced what is sure to be the most pawesome event of the year, the 2016 Cat Oscars - a.k.a. the Cat's Meow Awards.

According to a press release, the adorable video series spoof was created to commemorate the "unparalleled global impact that cute and cuddly cats have in 2015" and "combines two of the world's most powerful artistic forces: award shows and Internet cats."

The new series of videos follows in the paw prints the company left last April when it released the first single by the cat girl group, the Shelines, in celebration of the Cat-chella Music Festival.

Get in on the fun with the below videos featuring nominations in cat-egories such as "Best Cat Cuddle," "Best Cat-hlete," and Wild Cat Card."
