Playing Plead the Fifth on Andy Cohen's Bravo show, Cooper faced a choice of sex partners including guest Kelly Ripa versus her husband -- and Madonna versus Cher.

Bravo's Andy Cohen invited his friends and fellow TV hosts Anderson Cooper and Kelly Ripa to his show Watch What Happens Live for the holidays, but it's the viewers who got the gift: watching CNN's hottest journalist squirm as he ponders who he would prefer as a sex partner.

Among his choices: Madonna, Cher, Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos -- or Ripa herself.

And as if that were not enough pressure, Cohen really turned the tables on Cooper by letting Ripa sit in the driver's seat for this round of Plead the Fifth.

PT5, for those unfamiliar, is when the host asks three questions, and the guest can avoid answering, or "plead the Fifth," to only one of those. Lady Gaga, Nick Lachey, President Obama, and Cooper have played the game on previous episodes. Cooper gave Ripa a smirk when she added "Remember, for each incorrect answer you will remove one article of clothing."

Before querying Cooper on his preferred sex partners, Ripa started with a question clearly designed to force Anderson to waste his one and only "plea" to avoid answering which of his CNN colleagues irritates him the most: Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo or Jake Tapper.

Things got hot, though, when Ripa went into the sex questions, forcing Cooper into what he called "a gay man's Sophie's Choice."

Also on this episode of the interactive talkfest, Cohen, Cooper, and Ripa revealed that they are in fact friends in real life.

In answer to a viewer's phoned-in question, Cohen said he and Cooper were set up on a date that never happened, and that he met Ripa at a Christmas party thrown by Bryant Gumbel; Ripa met Cooper when he filled in for Regis Philbin on the earlier incarnation of her syndicated morning show, Live! With Kelly and Michael.

Watch video below of what Ripa summed up as "the best Plead the Fifth ever!"
