Out playwright Jeff Whitty, who wrote the book of the Tony-winning musical Avenue Q, returns with the world premiere of the comedy The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler, running Friday, January 13, through Sunday, January 29, at South Coast Repertory, 655 Town Center Dr. in Costa Mesa, Calif. The play follows the legendary Ibsen character as she escapes the Cul de Sac of Tragic Women in search of a new narrative. Hedda stars Susannah Schulman and features gay Frasier star Dan Butler.
